Amari 2461

My Mother in law had a beautiful collection of Amari dishes, the pattern was a gorgeously patterned cobalt blue and red round plate with generous amounts of gold in the Traditional Imari pattern (2451). The design was popular around 1910 and collected by my husbands grandmother. It was manufactured by England’s Royal Crown Derby, manufacturers of fine porcelain.

The quilt was made for my husbands mother when she was in her late 80’s when it was completed and comforted here by reminding her of her mother and her childhood in Toronto in 1930’s.

The pattern was transferred using a photo quilt process
